Since the beginning of October the ICQ servers do not allow to read the status of users (online, offline, away etc.) without authorization. However, a workaround has been found, and the service has learned to distinguish online from offline. |

Here you can quickly, but not stealthy find out the real status of almost any ICQ number being used on any client with a few exceptions. - Clients like
 QIP and  R&Q will receive the “Authorization denied” message from an unknown number.  Trillian client won’t display any message. ICQ 6 will stay quiet if the number you are using for connection exists in the target’s contact list.- The behavior of
 Miranda IM is different depending on its version.
If the user is online, the Invisible-check will be skipped. News and stats: the last news is 12.10.2009, the service uptime is 84.2% in the last 15 minutes.
